Bay Harbor Islands
One of Miami’s best kept secrets, The Town of Bay Harbor Islands is a stylish and vibrant community is, as its name implies, is composed of two islands just west of Bal Harbour.
The Town is home to a small yet amazingly diverse and tightly-knit community and offers a surprisingly large array of both beautiful homes on the Intracoastal Waterway as well as luxury and low-rise condominiums.
Its location, central yet apart, offers both serenity and an incredible degree of convenience. The Town is also a Mecca for aficionados of MiMo {Miami Modern} architecture of the 1950s and ’60s, which gives it a singular sense of place – and occasional cause around which to rally: the town’s residents are vigilant about protecting the almost 30 to 40 buildings which are coveted by real estate developers who know a great spot when they see one.
One visit to this little known enclave and you’ll be captivated by its charm. Just don’t tell anyone – it is, after all, kind of a secret.
